WHY NEXT

Web/smart portal for students, parents and teachers

A centralized web portal and apps will manage information and data for parents, teachers, and students. The portal will also feature a functional Learning Management System, which will include academic calendars, exam date sheets, and an extensive recorded video database for continued support and assistance. The web portal and apps will keep parents fully updated on students’ academic progress through consistent feedback. Students will also benefit greatly from updated class and exam schedules, test alerts, and mark updates.

Electronic Atttendance & SMS Alerts

The safety and security of students will be our first priority. Students of The Next School will be provided with an identity card featuring a barcode. As students enter or leave the school premises, they will be required to scan their card at the gate through an automated scanner. Parents will receive an SMS notification whenever their child scans the card upon entering or exiting the school grounds, ensuring they are always aware of their child’s whereabouts.

Emphasis on STEAM Education

WHAT IS STEAM EDUCATION

STEAM education stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. STEAM-based programs take an integrated approach to teaching and learning, requiring intentional connections between curriculum objectives, standards, assessments, and lesson design and implementation.

STEAM learning applies meaningful science, math, technology, and design content to solve real-world problems through hands-on activities and creative thinking. The Next School will focus on providing students with hands-on learning experiences through STEAM activities that align with the topics being taught. These activities will range from simple projects to extensive scientific experiments designed to broaden students’ understanding and perspectives.

Computer Language (Coding) Teaching

Coding refers to the process of writing instructions for machines in a way that they can understand and respond accordingly. Coders, or programmers, are the people who write the programs behind everything we see and do on a computer. When children learn to code, it helps them develop essential skills such as problem-solving, logic, and critical thinking. Through coding, children learn that there is often more than one way to solve a problem, and that simpler and more efficient solutions are usually better. Learning to code encourages children to become creators, not just consumers, of the technology they use.

Well-equipped Science and IT labs

Today’s world is dynamic and ever-changing. Online classes and specialized skill workshops have become accessible and effective ways to acquire knowledge. Now more than ever, it is crucial for schools to integrate new learning techniques to better prepare children for the future workplace. Rote and didactic learning styles have dominated the education system since the Industrial Revolution. In both methods, the child plays a relatively passive role in the learning process. More recently, it has become common practice for teachers to incorporate active learning techniques in the classroom, such as experiential learning.

Well-Stocked School Library

Libraries help cultivate the habit of reading. We recognize that individuals have different interests, varying aptitudes, and a wide range of reading abilities. In the library, each student can choose what they want and learn at a pace suited to their capabilities. The library thus serves as a common platform where all students meet on an equal level with equal opportunities. At The Next School, our libraries will be well-stocked and accessible to students through our unique software for library database management.

Virtual Libraries & Museums

The Next School will provide a vast database of books through virtual libraries and offer virtual field trips to museums. This is yet another way we provide experiential learning opportunities to our students, broadening their perspectives and overall understanding.

Online Support Classes

The Next School will provide an extensive range of resources, including recorded video lectures, worksheets, and other materials, to support students who are struggling with concepts taught at school. Students can review these videos as many times as needed to clarify their understanding. Our focus is to help students become independent learners who take full responsibility for their education. By providing such comprehensive resources available anytime during the day, we aim to eliminate the need for private tuitions, thereby fostering a ‘NO TUITION CULTURE’ at our schools.

Quality Assurance Policy

The Next School will have its own centralized quality assurance team that will ensure quality maintenance in all schools. They will help schools in

  1. Developing a self-assessment/evaluation/audit model as well as a system to obtain feedback and assess risk factors from the stakeholders for schools to run on their own. This will be supported by formal documentation and record-keeping so schools can run efficiently as independent commodities. The schools will be required to maintain fool-proof documentation from all the quality control and assessment measure mentioned above at any time of the year.
  2. Ensuring quality control procedures through a centralized system developed by experts at The Next School offices which will be based on informed and uninformed campus inspections, records and book-keeping reviews and software usage. The team will produce an annual audit report based on yearly performance markers and provide advice and propose changes where necessary.
